Position: Lead Hardware Engineer


Job Description


  • Being responsible of multiple design and development projects, leading a team of hardware and cryptography engineers
  • Specifying, designing and reviewing our cryptographic IP cores, but also performing logic design, register transfer level coding and simulation
  • Keeping up-to-date with the best practices and advances in the industry/academia in order to guide the development and optimization of our current and future hardware implementations
  • Working with software development teams to spot potential bottlenecks and act on them (e.g., proposing a HW/SW co-design)
  • Providing a technical interface point and consultation on specific areas of expertise


Skills required for the job


  • BS/MS degree in electrical/electronic/computer engineering or 7+ years of relevant experience in the industry
  • Experience with architecture and design of HW cryptographic accelerators

  • Strong knowledge of RTL coding, logic design principles along with timing and power implications

  • Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art CAD tools (for ASICs and FPGAs)

  • Good understanding of the complete verification life-cycle (test plan, testbench through coverage closure)

  • Understanding of modern cryptography and protocols

  • Ability to manage teams and to work independently without supervision

  • Have good communication skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of colleagues and partner


Will be considered a plus


  • PhD in cryptography engineering (or closely related subject)
  • Experience with advanced CMOS HW designs and their underlying physics
  • Understanding of implementation attacks (e.g., side-channel analysis and fault injection) and the corresponding countermeasures
  • Practical experience with UVM and assertion-based formal verification
